This week the travel queen Ailsa has given us the prompt of Mountains and suggested we find some that were snow-covered. I live in the valley of what the residents here call mountains and although we have gotten more snow than last year it’s nothing compared to years past, still I got what I could.
My friends and family that live out west call these hills. I haven’t been “out west” so I will have to take their word for it and then ignore them; because around here we call them mountains (actually sometimes we also call them hills).

Beautiful mountain views. Great shots!
Thanks
These are breathtaking – make me homesick for the Smokies. I love the Rockies (especially the Canadian Rockies) and the Tetons and so forth, but the Smokies will always have first place in my heart. Are these part of the Appalachians?
Close but no, the Blue Ridge.
