Welcome to Thursday Lingering Look at Windows. For instructions on how to participate see our title page.
I’m excited to be going into our fourth week. Thanks to all who participated last week. I hope you will continue to join us when you can.
This week I am featuring Windows of Harpers Ferry West Virginia; although mostly this is of the same window just different views.
Harpers Ferry is less than an hour drive from my home and is a very special place to me. For one it’s somewhere I can go alone or with someone and have an equally good time. For another it is where some of my earliest ancestors settled.
My cousin Janet who has the same great great great grandfather as me 🙂
These views come from the old church long gone but the relic and the history remains.
A few years ago my son and his girlfriend went with us on a evening trip to Harpers Ferry. Aren’t they adorable? 🙂
Great collection of interesting windows, love the narrative you have put with them. Here’s mine for this week…

Wow, all of these are SO interesting. I think the first one is my favorite — and the second. I do love historic general stores. The boarding house is a big added plus.

And I took these before I ever even knew of this challenge!

It’s less than an hour away and as a (wannabe) photographer has so much potential. There is a fee but there are ways to do it on the cheap if you plan and I am a planner. 😉

That sounds great! And I’m getting excited about the new pics! (:

Beautiful – you did a nice job capturing the beauty of Harpers Ferry. We visited a few years ago and plan on going back. It is a fascinating place. It is hard to pick out a favorite, but I think # 6 is my favorite, the view of the church ( I am thinking it is the church – its been awhile since we were there)

Yes it is the church. St. Peter’s Catholic church. I plan on returning in April.
