Last year, about this time, in fact, things began to happen; like a snowball rolling down a hill began to happen. I met a woman on facebook that did some interior painting. She loved my pictures and asked if she could show them to her customers. I created some photo albums but she suggested I needed a web site. I asked around, talked to my fiancé, and boom! next thing you know I had a web site. Now what?
I worked and worked on that website. The thing I liked most about it was its blogging capabilities but then I found out people who use their phones for Internet connections ( and a LOT of people do) could not load my blog. What good was that?
I always wanted to write, from the time I was nine years old, I have wanted to write. I was finally getting my chance. Now, don’t get me wrong its rewarding to write without any audience just as its rewarding to sing without an audience. You can dance across the room as if no one is watching and enjoy it like never before but the minute you stop and hear that applause, as rewarding as it is to go it alone, it’s not the same, ever again.
Most of us thrive on encouragement and adulation. I know I do. It’s what keeps me going. This is a hard business I have fallen into and without the ego pumping I don’t think I could stick to it.
I’m still trying to find my way; discover my niche. I have so much to learn and so little time to learn it that I get a little overwhelmed at times. I feel like I am jumping around like an ADHD patient on crack. I have all these ideas but it takes time to make them happen. I have developed friends and contacts that have tons of ideas for me too. I’m busy busy busy and I love every minute of it. But I will be glad when I have developed my own Lingering Vision for my business and for my future.

I have this picture framed in a brown frame and it looks awesome. Few people have seen it though, its in my basement (which is where my work shop is)

I especially enjoy local landmarks and am currently working on note-cards depicting some of the churches in the county.

Black and white is one of my strong photography talents and I am thinking of doing a show with black and white prints only.

Barns are my best sellers and in conjunction with another friend I will be showing some of my finest st this years county fair.

I’m lucky to live where the landscapes are so beautiful. I am currently framing 6 new pieces for a gallery tour in two weeks.

Country Roads are one of the things I enjoy photographing. I hope to display these at the local museum gift shop when it opens in May.

I’m excited about another opportunity that may or may not happen but will involve this picture and others like it. Its hush hush for now.
