Welcome to Thursday Lingering Look at Windows. For instructions on how to participate see our title page.
I’m excited to be going into our twenty-second week. Thanks to all who participated last week. I hope you will continue to join us when you can.
It’s time to take a break from the winery windows for a week and highlight a recent trip to the nearby town of Leesburg Virginia. Here my friends and I visited the plantation of a past governor and his wife and were immersed in the beauty and history of this former home turned museum. If you would like to learn more about Morven Park check out their web site but if you just want to see their windows, well, you have come to the right place.
Nice ones! These are mine for this week: http://geriatrixfotogallerie.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/thursday-lingering-look-at-windows-week-22/

I like the shabby old roof shots best. And that wonderfully shuttered patio.

I think it’s great, your getting around to all the interest points in your own area – you’ll be able to tour guide ;). And I do like that funny exposure reflection one.

Lynne,
I live on a VERY limited budget but I am fortunate to live in an area with so much to see and do so I am quite content with my travels, such as they are.

What a magnificent building Dawn. They certainly knew how to impress in the old days. I’m guessing the first 2 cottage shots were the servants quarters? I’m still in Hobart…

Yes, you are right Paula, the first two were slave quarters at one time.
