Welcome to Thursday Lingering Look at Windows. For instructions on how to participate see our title page.
I’m excited to be going into our twenty-fourth week. Thanks to all who participated last week. I hope you will continue to join us when you can.
This week I would like to share some pictures from a recent drive through visit to Warrenton Virginia.
A friend and I were out for a drive, chatting along, and before we knew it we had come to a quaint little town filled with art and history; as only the best little towns are.
Please click on each picture to see a larger version of that image.
- I thought this was really cool and would love to know the back story. Maybe one day I will investigate.
- I included this one because of the wonderful reflection across the street. It was the “golden hour” so picture taking was quite fun.
- Again, the “golden hour” shows its colors.
- This looked like a nice shop to browse. They were closed at this hour.
- If my “friend” and I were better friends I would suggest we come back here and take advantage of this unique opportunity.

I don’t think it is still a barber shop, although I can not be sure. we were there on a Sunday evening and everything was closed.

Funny, I found a very pretty little teashop in Durham this morning. I wasn’t sure if the lady sitting in the window seat would mind being in my shot so I tried to be discreet. (not my forte) š
Nice windows again, Dawn.

Thank you. I guess if you can’t be discreet be obvious!

Love your first photo – does make us wonder how many men stopped in for a cup of tea and finger sandwiches before their haircut. š What an image that forms in my mind.
Here is my window for the week.
