I knew right away what I wanted to do when I saw this week’s Travel Theme: Wild.
A few months ago I went out with my ex. We are trying to be just friends but he has a much harder time with that then I do. So we see each other, have a great time and then he says he’s not ready for platonic. This pattern has repeated several times. It’s because of our age that I allow it to continue. I am old enough that I have resolved to spend the rest of my days single. However I would like a good circle of friends.
Anyway! This was our first time out and we went to Skyline Drive. My camera was in the back seat instead of my lap because of the awkwardness of the situation. And wouldn’t you know it; Bears! We have been to Skyline Drive hundreds of times and only seen a bear one other time.
I fumbled in my bag for my old point and shoot and got these few shots. They are blurry but you can see how close we were. I always get nervous when I see something like this, add to it the whole situation and the pictures didn’t come out that bad after all.
Please click on the individual picture to get a better view of that image.
This is a close call, but so fitting to the theme, and better than a wild animal in a cage.

So what was the wild part of the evening, Dawn. Being with your Ex or the bear. 😀

Def the bear. I really ain’t much on bears. Especially a mama with three cubs. I will keep my distance, thank you.
