Welcome to Thursday Lingering Look at Windows. For instructions on how to participate see our title page.
I’m excited to be going into our thirtieth week. Thanks to all who participated last week. I hope you will continue to join us when you can.
This week I am back at the wineries. This winery, this outing, is special in it’s own way. I blogged about this little day trip a few months back when I met my dear friend Linda for a Sunday afternoon escape . I decided to highlight these windows this week because Linda suffered the loss I suffered not long ago. Her dad passed on July 22nd. And so she joins the ranks of so many of us our age who are having to experience this unwanted milestone of losing a parent.
I know the pain myself and I do not want to trivialize it because when it is in your heart there is no way to reduce the pain, only time can do that.
Linda,
I want to rejoice in our friendship and honor your feelings in the best way I know how; to blog about it.
I love you and I am sorry for your loss.
Love,
~ Dawn
More photos from Sitges: I did warn I had a lot! I scheduled this to post last week while I was in darkest Africa, but couldn’t get any internet access to update the links. http://travelwithintent.com/2013/08/01/windows-from-sitges-the-sequel/

This is a great tribute to your friend Dawn. I still remember the loss of my Dad like it was yesterday even though it was over twenty years ago. http://josephelonlillie.com/2013/08/09/thursday-a-lingering-look-at-windows-week-29/
