If you had to move to a country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?
Costa Rica. One of my friends from high school is a high level government worker and travels all over the world. She tells me that when we retire it will be to Costa Rica. Now I am not sure when that will be, my job is much much lower on the pay scale and I don’t really expect to EVER retire but when/ if I do I hope to join Sally and Linda in Costa Rica.
Music or silence while working?
I am going to consider blogging and editing photographs to be “working”. I normally do so without music. I love music but can not concentrate on the words I am trying to write if I am listening to the lyrics or singing along to the song playing on my I-pod.
What is your favorite color?
This is a hard one because I love so many colors.
I love the the way the November sun falls across the brown of the forest floor.
I love the way pink permeates the sky in a July sunset after a summer storm.
I love the white of the clouds and the blue of their background.
The greens of spring stir my heart and remind me of when I was 15. The teacher would open the window after lunch and the smell of grass being cut by Mr. Buckley awakened my teenage senses and made me smile at boys I never used to like.
I love the purple that hazes the mountains they call blue (ridge).
I love the black dress that slims me and the pop of red in the scarf that makes me stand out in the crowd.
Yellow exuberates me and reminds me of the things I hold dear; friendship, family, and JoY!
I never used to like orange but my niece revealed it as her favorite color and now I feel as she does when I bask in it.
Do you have a bucket list? What are your three items? A bucket list are things you want to do before you die.
I don’t have a written list but in my mind there are many things I want to see and do. I want to go to Savannah. I’ve always loved the novel Gone With the Wind and I know it takes place in Atlanta but today’s Savannah makes me think more of what it was like when women tore drapes off the walls to create beautiful ball gowns and worried about their trouble “Tomorrow”.
