Welcome to the 2014 edition of Window Views. For instructions on how to participate visit out title page
Thanks to all that participated last week and welcome to those who join us now.
This week i bring you the windows of La Grange winery near Haymarket Virginia. I went here last year after picking tulips and having lunch with my cousins last year. I am slow to post these because even though it was a beautiful place the service here was so horrendous I swore to never return. So here is my final trip to The Winery at La Grange.
Please click on the individual picture to see a larger view of that image.
This challenge is very laid back. Join us when you can. It runs Thursday thru Thursday; jump in any time. Tag your posts A Lingering Look at Windows and so we can catch you in our readers.
Thanks for this challenge… I’m away so haven’t been online much, so only just noticed it now!
One of my very first photos that I considered to be ‘ good’ was through a window, so I am alwYs taking them! I’m sure I will join in and post regularly when I get back xxx

Hi Dawn, I do like that first image….a slightly shabby and neglected look to it. My entry coming up later!

This was in the cellar type basement. They had it fixed up as you would imagine a pub would look in the late 1800’s.

Great windows- shame about the service, Dawn 🙂

I blasted them on Trip Advisor and of course they asked me back but there are over 200 wineries in Virginia. In my book you only have one chance to get it right.

Dawn great shots! – that first one with the thick, deep stone is intriguing – esp. with the art placed inside of it. I truly wonder what the house looks like that houses that window – bet it is nice. The other two – well I like both takes on it – and the little chandelier in the middle shot was nice. 🙂
I have one window shot for this week – a seahorse near the beach…..

Love these windows Dawn, as said by others before me, the bunches of grapes in the windows are beautiful. Here is my post, with a little history lesson included about King Henry VIII and one of his wives – and some 15th century windows which I hope you enjoy 🙂 http://sherrimatthewsblog.com/2014/02/06/a-lingering-look-at-windows-historical-lewes-sussex/

It looks a cosy place pity about the service, but was the wine any good?

The wine was good but pricey. The closer you get to Washington DC the more expensive the wine becomes.

And it was such a beautiful day. That makes for shooting from the inside out so much better.

A good business is so easily ruined by bad service! Lovely windows though. Mine are a bit different this week – a home for graffiti. http://travelwithintent.com/2014/02/07/graffiti-windows/
