Velvet Verbosity: Inhaled~ The Scent of Spring

I inhaled the scent of spring
I smelled the rain before it came
The lilac as they begin to bloom

I inhaled the scent of spring
I smelled the cut grass on Saturday mornings
And grills smoking Sunday afternoon

I inhaled the scent of spring
I smelled the crisp laundry on the line
It’s scent blowing in the breeze
Baked by the sun

The scent of spring
It’s in the air
And if you stop for a moment
And inhale
You too can
Smell the scent of spring

Inhale deeply
Unless you have allergies
Then you better get back inside

Lilacs in bloom(w)

This post is in response to the 100 word writing challenge from Velvet Verbosity where we are asked to write 100 words inspired by a single prompt. This week’s word is Inhaled.
