Share Your World: Week 21

If you could make a 15 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?
This is an intriguing question but honestly I can not think of anything more profound than what has been said by people like Mother Teresa, Gandhi, JFK, Martin Luther King, Buddha or Jesus Christ. If they won’t listen to them, why would they listen to me?

If you could take a photograph, paint a picture or write a story of any place in the world, what and where would it be?
Another thought-provoking question! I would write a story about how I painted a picture from a photograph I took of my property. The property I shared with a man who wanted to be my partner in life more than he wanted me to be his wife. This could be any where in the world.

If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick?
This question is a lot harder than it might have been 30 years ago. Then my answer would have probably been Sears. Today I will go with Macy’s. They seem to have it all. I could play in their “kitchens”, try on all the clothes, experiment with the make up and perfumes, read their books and magazines and test the different mattresses.
Hopefully this is a Macy’s with at least SOMETHING to eat..a sample…chocolates?? Ahh well, I am mostly interested in the mattresses.

If you were given a boat or yacht today, what would you name it? (You can always sell the yacht later)
And sell it I would! She would be called: My Retirement Fund.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful to have spent time with my brother and sister and their families over the weekend. Next weekend a couple of old high school chums will be in town. I’m looking forward to that!

Peace Gandhi(w)

  1. The problem with Macy’s is I want to take home everything they got. Macy’s in downtown Chicago has a wonderful gourmet cafeteria, I’d be happy as a clam too there.

  2. Great answer to the first question! I would just end up quoting one of those people anyway. Macy’s would be an interesting place to be stranded for the weekend but ours doesn’t have any food. 🙂 Enjoy your visit with your high school chums!
