The topic for this month is “Open” Architecture, meaning you decide what you want to share. It can be one of the categories I have listed or something of your own choosing. Have fun with this challenge. I know there are plenty of photographic eyes like mine who enjoy architecture. Show me!
This week I want to share with you pictures of Handley Library in Winchester Virginia, a small city about 25 miles north of me. The Handley Library, now part of a regional library system is Beaux-Arts style architecture. It opened to the public in 1913. It went through a major renovation beginning in 1979 that was completed in 2001.
