Six Word Saturday ~ My Travel Wish List for 2015

I know I have probably already overdone the list thing and the goals for 2015 thing but this list is more for me and my traveling buddies than anyone else so if you don’t mind I am going to list my 6 wish list trips for 2015.

They are not in any particular order.

1. DC to visit:

a.Theodore Roosevelt Island. My friend Sally’s son was a Park Ranger at The Theodore Roosevelt Park in North Dakota and I did a blog post about it in October. Trying to find a picture to go with the post I realized I hadn’t been to the Theodore Roosevelt Park near me, in Washington DC. I’d like to remedy that this year.

b.The Library of Congress has been on my list for a while.

c.The Building Museum, I do love architecture.

d. I have wanted to see Multiverse, a light display in an underground walkway of the National Gallery of Art in DC since April of 2013 when Ailsa from the blog Where’s My Backpack wrote about it.

2. Lancaster PA. I’m thinking of going here instead of Gettysburg in the fall.

I took this in 2010. I'd lie to get a shot like this again but with the camera and knowledge i have now.

3. Maymont Estate, near Richmond, Virginia. I know Yvette told me that it has been done to death (picture wise) but so has Mabry Mill and I don’t regret going to get this picture

4. Williamsburg Virginia in December. This is a recent notion of mine and it may not be at all feasible but since it takes such an effort for me to get into the Christmas spirit I thought maybe if I started earlier with a trip to some place magical the first week in December it would help. But I have not researched this yet, like I said this is a fairly new notion.

5. It would be great to get back to Baltimore, Roanoke, or Staunton for another overnight trip this year.

6. Another place I have been wanting to go is Colonial Beach. I’ve never been, that’s why.

  1. Williamsburg at Christmas time is awesome. Colonial Williamsburg is decorated with all natural decorations. I have pictures from years past and I still look at them in awe. You always have the Yankee Candle Factory and they have Christmas year around. I love the Williamsburg area, it was always our second home.

  2. Let me know when you make it to Lancaster! I will take you to some really authentic places if you’d like Dawn! Was there all day yesterday,
