I’m an old woman now looking back on my life
There were times of sorrow
Times of pain
There were times of joy and times of laughter
I made some bad decisions and I made some good ones.
I loved more than one man and all of my friends
I have children and grandchildren who love me; as I do them.
I worked hard, played hard, tried to live by the golden rule and pay it forward.
This is my life, sewn together like pieces of a quilt.
Separately each piece is but a scrap, together they are a tapestry.
This post is in response to the 100 word writing challenge from Velvet Verbosity where we are asked to write 100 words inspired by a single prompt. This week’s word is Quilt.
