Six Word Saturday ~ I Thought Naming Pictures was Hard

There was a time when I was actively placing framed prints in area galleries. The hardest part, for me, was naming them. I thought they had to have clever poetic names but after my recent trip to the National Gallery of Art, I realized the old acronym KISS (keep it simple stupid) works for the masters, there is no reason it can not work for me.

Still Life with Apples on a Pink Tablecloth; Henri Matisse

Sitting Figure; Maurice Stern,1877

A Girl with a Watering Can; Renoir

Hay bales under fluffy clouds, Dawn M. Miller; 2012

  1. Yes! I think this goes for a lot of things, really. Sometimes people identify better to what they understand better and quicker. Also, when you post them digitally, more simple names would be better search wise. 🙂
