I know this isn’t really what Nancy meant when she suggested this week’s theme: Artsy but it seemed a perfect time to introduce how I spent my Friday evening last week. If you know me, you know I love glass blowing and I am addicted to Groupon. I saw an offer for a glass fusion class. I really didn’t know what it was but I signed up. Friday I went and made five pendants. They have to be fired and should be ready next week. That’s me being artsy.
Later I enjoyed a glass of wine from another Groupon and watched the sun set. I manipulated this photo a bit because the interstate could be seen where the black is. I don’t have photoshop so this is about as artsy a photograph as you will see from me.

I took advantage of the Groupon for glass jewelry also and had a wonderful day. I was very surprised to see how the finished product barely resembled the assembled one. Very exciting!

no I live in Massachusetts but we had the same Groupon. I made a necklace and my daughter made a bracelet. I have them posted under ‘good thing there was sparkling wine’. Let me know when you get yours back.

That sounds like fun. I am off to an acrylic painting class today. For the first time in over 30 + years. Should be fun.

I really like both of your take on artsy – and the glass class is something I want todo sometime – 🙂 – I do not like groupon for dining out – we used to use them years ago but have come to not care for it – which is for another time perhaps – but looks like you are finding the right ones for sure.

I especially like Groupon for hotel stays. The class was a whim. Sometimes whims can be so self healing. This was one of those times.

I like how you worded that – and I love when that happens. About ten years ago when I was feeling burn out set in – I started doing more and more stuff that I signed the kids up for – and it infused me with some umph. so when they went ice skating – so did I – stuff like that – etc.

You have to know how to infuse your own soul. Umph is a good word 😉

🙂 and sometimes it is easier than we think – or just depends on “where” we are at at different times – have a nice day
