Lingering Look at Architecture ~ August : Schools, Colleges, and Universities

Welcome to the 2015 edition of A Lingering Look at Architecture . Every month on the 4th Thursday of the month I will post my vision of the theme for that month. One of my favorite campuses for its architectural style is James Madison University

In the opposite direct, an hour north of me is George Mason University. The architecture here is much more modern.

Three hours away, just outside of Virginia Beach is Regent University. Originally founded in 1977 by Pat Robertson as Christian Broadcasting Network its name was changed to Regent in 1990. Regent is a good example of Georgian architecture.

Much closer to home is Shenandoah University, in Winchester, Virginia.

  1. I think my employer looks the most like Regent, only with more landscaping/parklike grounds 🙂
