Inspired my poem:

The new singer arrived just in time
And woo wee that gal could dress
She made my heart beat in a rhyme
That no songstress ever could guess

Rehearsal went by in a snap
And when it, came time, for the show
That new gal she needed some help
And I was just the fella, you know

Her shoe, it didn’t feel right
So I offered to give her a hand
I played it as cool as I could,
with my fingers on that ex-quisite gam!

I was a gentleman from beginning to end
And I think she appreciated that
We’ve a date on Saturday night
Is it old school to say “she is phat”?

The month of April is National Poetry Month and so with that in mind, I am going to attempt to make all my Wednesday offering poems. Key word: attempt.

  1. This has a very cool rhythm like a blues song I think. Better leave anything sounding like ‘fat’ out of the equation though. Great job on the prompt Dawn 🙂
