Mural: Father and Sons

The Staufferstadt Artist Residency of Strasburg, in July help complete our third mural in town. This one on the side of the building where Integrity Mortgage does business depicts two generations of Strasburg residents.

Philadelphia based mural artist, NDA conceived the idea when he found a 1932 photo of Charles Crabill who served as police chief in the 1940’s. That photo makes up the bottom half of the mural. He located his son, retired United Methodist pastor Ralph Crabill and his image became the top portion of the mural.

This art work is not without controversy. There are some who do not see the beauty in artistic expression. But those folks are rare.
