Michelle tried to comfort her daughter when her husband left her. “It will be alright”, she cooed, stroking the hair of her crying child.
“It will never be alright Mother!”
Michelle lifted the tear-stained face by her chin and looked into her daughter’s eyes. “When I lost my job, your father, left and the bank foreclosed I thought my life was over. I hung my head in shame and sorrow. But you can only live like that for so long. I realized I would never be able to see a future with my head down, and so, I looked up”.
