I left my husband 15 years ago. I took only my personal belongings and moved 1000 miles away. Eventually he signed a no-fault divorce and that was that.
I wasn’t surprised when they called to tell me he was dead, or even that he had killed himself. I wasn’t even surprised to learn he had left everything to me.
He still owned the studio downtown and I visited there first. My stained glass art still hung in the window but the place was a mess. Somebody had been looking for something.
Had he really killed himself? I wasn’t so sure anymore.

My Fellow Fictioneers:
I apologize for not commenting on your stories last week. I continue to have connection problems and see no end to them this week. I hope to be back online full time by the first of the month. in the mean time, again I apologize. I try to read as many as I can from another device but am not logged on to WordPress through it so I am unable to comment.
Dawn, this was excellent. I’ve been away for a while, but this was awesome to come back to.
