I fell a few weeks ago and injured my leg so I have been laid up but I had tickets to take this train trip with the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad since April. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to go and at the last moment went for it.
It was not an easy trip on me and I may have caused my friends to scale back their adventures. If I did, I’m sorry, and thank you.
The colors were disappointing as I think most of us in this region are discovering this year. It’s simply been to dry and to warm to have a vibrant autumn. But I did get some cool shots around the station and would love to go back to the area when I am up to it and do some more exploring.
I love autumn and every week I get so many beautiful shots it is hard to decide which to use for my Best Of. Click here to see the ones that didn’t make the cut: A Lingering Look at Autumn.
Let me know if I can help you. I have a sore foot but can run errands.

Thank you. I’m doing much better now. It is slow going though!
