The Best Books I Read in 2017

I read 38 books in 2017; extraordinary for me. I probably have not read this many in a year since I was in my 20’s when we had no phone and little television reception.

Most of my books I read on my Kindle and came to me by way of my Amazon prime membership or FreeBooksy

Of course I also read some “real” books. These were either gifts, loaners, or found at an exchange.

I’m not very good at writing reviews but I leave them anyway because I read reviews and I know they are important to authors.

The books I have listed are my four star reviewed books on Amazon. I don’t typically give out five stars because to me a five-star book is Of Mice and Men or The Great Gatsby, classics, and two of my all time favorites.

The Night Bird by Brian Freeman

As One Must Once Can by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields

From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon

All the Little Children by Jo Furniss

The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry

Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum

Kings of Broken Things by Theodore Wheeler

Betrayal by Tim Tigner

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Behold the Dreamers by Imbolo Mbue

Everything Smells Just Like Poke Salad by Linda Swain Bethea
