A Grand Finale for Pink!

What better way to close out the month of pink than to learn a little more about the color itself and its history? In New York City, now through January 2019, the Museum at FIT is hosting the exhibition Pink: The History of a Punk, Pretty, Powerful Color I won’t be able to attend but if you do I hope you will let me know.

I have to be satisfied with this video posted recently by a friend. It made me think of a show closer to home, at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, another friend and I attended a few years ago. There we found the pink dress worn by Emmy Rossum when she played Christine in the 2004 movie, Phantom of the Opera.

This is an older picture and too late to crop it into a square but I also took a shot of the bodice, and coincidentally that is square.

Happy September and don’t forget about pink in October. Early detection is the best medicine!

Are you Square?
