I’m not a big traveler. Not that I haven’t wanted to be I just never seem to have the money to do so. I do mange to get around to my surrounding states, counties, and the cities of my state. I take pictures wherever I go and have accumulated enough for an album or two, which actually says more about my tendency to take pictures than my travel

The Old Court House Civil War Museum is a historic building with graffiti from both Northern and Southern soldiers which also houses a nationally recognized collection of over 3,000 Civil War artifacts. Situated on the Loudoun Street Walking Mall in Old Town Winchester, Virginia, this Georgian style court house was used as a hospital, barracks and prison by both sides during the War.

This is part of the C&O Canal and I was able to get this shot two minutes after a summer downpour ended.
Before 1904 (and the addition as seen here in red brick) this was the slave quarters for a nearby farm. In 1904 Mr. Graham F. Blandy bought it and used it as a summer home. He bequeathed it and 712 acres to the University of Virgina to be used to study modern farming methods. This building now houses interns, visiting scientists and staff.
