I have been fortunate enough to work three minutes from my home for the last 25 years. I understand that can not be expected in my next position. As I interview all over the valley I have no choice but to travel the road I hate, Interstate 81.
I love autumn and every week I get so many beautiful shots it is hard to decide which to use for my Best Of. Click here to see the ones that didn’t make the cut: A Lingering Look at Autumn.
Been there, done that, feel your pain!!!

LOL…there’s an over pass in the county that is not very well traveled, it was such a beautiful sky I decided to stop.
Thanks.

I avoid it whenever I can, too. When I worked in Winchester, I often took Middle Road home. It was just a few miles more, and about 10 minutes longer, but the ride was lovely, with almost not traffic, and when I got home I was relaxed. Time doesn’t always allow that, though! This is a most relaxing photo of an unrelaxing road, and yes, the sky is beautiful!

I always take Middle Road or 522 unless I am in a big hurry. 5 or 10, even 20 extra minutes is worth it to me.
