Ever since I visited Shenandoah State Park last month during their plein air event I’ve wanted to go back and capture this view that was being painted by one of the participating artists that day.
I finally got it.

I spent a month in 1967 snaking up and down the Blue Ridge Mountains from Virginia through the Great Smoky Mountains. I didn’t have a camera yet. I hadn’t even started to take pictures yet.

Well before digital I took very few landscape pictures. Just friends and family. Now I rarely have any people pictures to share lol
