Fall colors have been quite elusive this season but they are out there. They are just a bit spotty 😉
I love autumn so I am hosting the 2018 Festival of Leaves Challenge I will post every Sunday and I invite everyone to join in any time through the week in any or all weeks. You can link to this post or to any weekly post. Be sure to tag your post Festival of Leaves so it is easy to find in the reader.

Hi Dawn – Another very lovely tree in your post. Do you notice how the morphing from green to reds or oranges seems to reflect the way the sun shines on the tree? So often, the shaded leaves are the last to turn. So when autumn is done, will you be doing a ‘Festival of Snow’ series? I don’t want autumn to end. Best, Babsje

LOL…I don’t plan on going out in the snow!
I am holding in to autumn as long as possible!

I actually would have joined sooner, but I sort of lost it this fall. Also, while we took a ton of pictures, we didn’t get the kind of color we expect in October. We had a bunch of those strange “patchy” trees too where apparently they weren’t sure what seasons they were in.

Haha…same here.

Yep. That’s what it’s like here now. I’m finally beginning to see a bit of brilliance. In a week we’ll be all “aglow.”

To me, it’s link Christmas. I can’t wait! But then it will be over 😦

I know…but at least we get to enjoy the brilliance for a few weeks before the trees go bare (which I also love).

You two, huh?
I love bare trees! My friend makes fun of that about me (in a loving way, of course).

Hi Dawn I hope a second submission for this week is ok? I don’t want autumn, nor your leaves challenge, to end! Thank you for your inspiration,
