If you know me, you know I love art. I love art for the sake of art. I love art for the conversations it inspires and I love art for the creativity it showcases. I had my grandson with me last week during his spring break. He also likes art so I took him to some of my favorite places. I think I might have over done it but we did find some unique pieces.
Please click-through the galleries to learn more about our experiences with these wonderful pieces of art.
One of our first stops was a favorite of mine for its eclectic art collections, The Warehouse Art Gallery, in Luray Virginia. If you are ever in the area, this is a must see. It’s fun for the whole family and a great way to expose children to art and the concepts of creativity.
We talked about the many art forms, like murals.
Next we went to The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, where we discovered art from the halls, to the gallery, to the garden. I learned here that my grandson likes sculptures.
For one of our last days together we visited Haley Fine Art Gallery in Sperryville, Virginia. I can’t begin to say enough about this gallery. You have to see it to understand, but here is a sampling.
