I took so many pictures from my spring break stay-cation with my grandson that I am still processing them, so I thought I would share one from our last outing of the week, a trip through Shenandoah National Park on Skyline Drive.
I have taken him here before, of course, and when we came to the Pig Tree he remembered that right away. But there is another tree, that I and several of my photog friends, photograph, a lot, but talk about a little less.
I’ve always called it The Divining Rod Tree. My ex, total sports guy that he is, calls it The Goal Post. But when my grandson saw it he said “Looks like a Sling Shot to me”.
Eureka! We have a name for this tree. I declare this tree now and forever to be known, as The Sling Shot Tree. (Tell your friends).
Spring is one of my favorite seasons. It is the season that showcases the vibrancy of pinks and purples, and of course, yellows. Click here to see how Spring has sprung in my neighborhood.
