Friday Fictioneers: An Interruption to the Routine

Azreal arrived home at 4:15, like always. Her land-lady stuck her head out, as she did every day, “Hello dear”.
“Hello, Agnes”, she singsonged while skipping up her steps. Agnes was sweet, but Azzy didn’t have time to chat.

Oscar greeted her with a loud meow. “Give me a minute, big boy. You won’t starve” she said kicking off her shoes. She flipped on some music and fed the cat.

Azreal sang with Beyonce while changing into her running clothes. She headed back down the steps and did some stretches. Agnes watched her from inside, the stranger’s hand held firmly over her mouth.

  1. I like your identification of the building as some sort of guest house. Whoever is holding Agnes is a threat to anybody in the house. Oh dear! This is unlikely to end well!
