Friday Fictioneers: If Ignorance is Bliss

Matthew removed his glasses and pushed the book aside. He looked up at his brother who was watching him expectantly.
“Well?”

“Well, yes, it’s deep” Matthew tried to joke.
“Is it true?”

“Its very true”, his brother reassured him.
“My God,” Matthew said looking away.

Ever since the brothers began time traveling they had seen many horrific events. They vowed to only observe and never to attempt to change the course of history. They always went separately and kept a journal for the other to read when they were together again.

“Maybe we are better off not knowing”.
