Share Your World: September 14, 2019

What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery or came into a huge fortune?
Buy a large portion of land and begin building homes for my family and friends.

Which decade do you think had the best sense of style?
The internet says: “Style is about being yourself in a world full of trends, and not following what the latest looks are right now. Fashion is focused on what’s hot right now.”
That being said I think it began in the late 60’s when women (and we are talking about women, mostly, right?) began to exercise their freedoms and push the boundaries. They did it, as we often do, with clothes. It has evolved into today where many of us choose our own style without rules about hem lines, white after labor day or mixing; metals, or colors, like black and brown. Style is a personal trait and can not be attributed to a decade.

Would you rather be half your height or double your weight?
Either would leave me in pretty bad shape but since I am not that small as it is, double my weight would leave me incapacitated and soon dead, so I guess I will choose to be three foot tall.

If you wanted to get away from everyone totally, where would you hide?
Wherever there is work to be done.

What do you do that you love?
Hanging out with family and my besties!

What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
Well, this was actually last week but I am still editing pictures and so I am still smiling at the wonderful wedding of my niece I attended.

  1. Thank you Dawn for Sharing Your World! Good on you for spotting that fallacy in the style question. I never thought of that, style IS an individual trait, FASHION is the decade type of style that’s most popular I suppose. Thanks for the clarification. 🙂

    • I hope you know I wasn’t trying to correct you, I simply was thinking about it and did some research, cause i really couldn’t decide. I appreciate your hosting each week and giving me a platform to share a little bit of my world.
      Thanks Melanie.
