The old woman sat by the window in her favorite spot. Her rocker was old, but it was padded nice, which was good. She didn’t have much of her own padding anymore. She remembered when she used to worry about her weight, thought she was fat, and wished she was skinny.
She laughed to herself, closed her eyes and dreamt about the young and “fat” woman she once was. Her mother and father were there in her dreams, her husband too, sometimes, and her sister; God how she missed her. But she could be with them all again. She just had to close her eyes.
