Friday Fictioneer: Life is Short and the World is Wide

Bella looked up at the city lights with delight. She clutched the locket she wore and offered a silent prayer of thanks.

Bella had always wanted to travel. She read books and watched documentaries about foreign lands incessantly. Her parents scolded her but her grandfather encouraged her. Four years ago they had begun planning this trip. They had budgets and itineraries and lots of plan B’s.

Even after the cancer diagnosis, they planned, although soon it was seen as a solo trip.

When he passed he left every thing to her and six months later, together, she took their trip.

    • My title is an anonymous quote I found in the internet. i was having a hard time with this one. The word limit can be so challenging but Rochelle taught me years ago that the title are extra words for free. I do love free 🙂
