The Best Books I Read in 2019

I read 37 books in 2019.

Most of my books I read on my Kindle because of it’s ease of use. But I also read “real” books, and always carry one with me, to read while waiting.

I’m not very good at writing reviews but I leave them anyway because I read reviews and I know they are important to authors. Here are all my amazon reviews.

The books I have listed are my four and five star reviews on Amazon (five star reviews are in bolder type). In the past I didn’t typically give out five stars because I felt a five-star book was a classic like Of Mice and Men or my favorite book of all time, Pillars of the Earth, but somewhere along the line I forgot that and started giving out five stars. My apologies to the authors I may have “cheated” in the past.

My list for 2019 in no particular order:

Under the Influence by Joyce Maynard
Trespassing by Brandi Reeds
The Sugar Men by Ray Kingfisher
Hot Shot by Sheldon Siegel
The Road Beyond Ruin by Gemma Liviero
Beantown Girls by Jane Healey
A Justified State by Iain Kelly
Whisper Me This by Kerry Anne King
Glidepath by Andrew Watts
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon
O is for Outlaw by Sue Grafton
The Killer Collective by Barry Eisler
The Storyteller’s Secret by Sejal Badani

The Dressmaker’s Gift by Fiona Valpy
Kris- The Legend Begins by J.J. Ruscella
My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Breakdown by Jonathan Kellerman
