Do you have a favorite kind of tree?
Many. I love the red of the Japanese Maple, the pink of the Pink Dogwood, the raspberry of a Crape Myrtle, and the white bark of a Sycamore along the river. I love the strength of the Oak the deliciousness from the Maple, and of course the symmetry of the Poplars and fruit tress in an orchard. I love the delicateness of the mimosa, the fringe trees, and the willow, and the rough textures of the bark on a cedar. I love the steadfastness and the scent of the pine and I welcome the fragrance of the lilacs in spring. I’m not sure how to pick a favorite.

What bridges are you happy you burned?
I don’t think I have burned many bridges. I probably should have, though.

Would you sacrifice yourself (die) for a stranger?
Probably not. I am truly not that brave.

How have your priorities changed since the C-19 virus took over?
I try to make sure I call my closest friends once a week, send messages to others, just to keep in contact and let them know I miss them and am thinking of them.

What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
From last week…a card from a friend..she’s a facebook friend but that didn’t stop her from sending a card in the mail…in these trying isolating times..it means so much. A postcard from a Friday Fictioneer friend. I have been truly wallowing since this stay home order was issued and even though I asked for this it was still a nice surprise that she went through with it. Thanks Lish. And a gift from my daughter-in-law. It came the day after Mother’s Day but was no less appreciated.

  1. Thanks Dawn for Sharing Your World! You have had some truly special gifts this week. A rise in spirits is always welcome, but especially when one is having to isolate the way some of us still are. The trees you listed are all beautiful, and good on you for noticing their individual and unique traits! 🙂
