Have you ever ‘dined and dashed” (i.e. eaten the meal and then run out the restaurant door without paying)?
No.
Have you ever been in a car accident and either left the scene of the accident (providing it was a fender bender and not serious) or denied culpability for causing it when you did, (if it were minor or serious)?
No.
Have you ever found a wallet or purse or some money (over $20) in the street and just taken it, thinking ‘finders keepers, losers weepers? Or would you be ‘good’ and hand it in?
No, but I was always taught that if you knew who the owner was and kept it, that was stealing, if you didn’t know who the owner was you could keep it. As a young adult I heard you could find a wallet in the street and if the ID was in it you could drop it in the mail box and they would return it. I don’t know if that’s true now or if it ever was.
What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
It was my birthday week and although we didn’t go big like I had planned we were able to go out. One of my besties dropped off a beautiful arrangement of flowers, she is so talented…and generous! I got my first manicure since March. After my nail appointment I went to a winery with a two more of my besties crew. There were very few people there and we sat outside and sipped our wine. Afterwards we found a restaurant that had safe seating, and had dinner. A friend at work brought in cupcakes, not that I need them. I ate a couple and put the rest in the freezer. Later in the week I met another friend at one of our favorite gardens that reopened recently and had a very cool display of bug sculptures made from wood. And of course there were cards, and phone calls, text messages, and wishes on social media. Originally I would have like to gather all these friends together at one time and had a nice little party but with everything going on, I didn’t think it was a good idea. Still, they were not about to let this milestone birthday go uncelebrated. I honestly do not know how I got to be so lucky, but I really hit the jack pot in the friends department.
Happy Belated Birthday and thanks for Sharing Your World!! It sounds like you had a great day, even if the larger celebration wasn’t possible. You’re a great friend too, to your friends, because you are thoughtful and kind not insisting on a big gathering with all that’s happening. The photos? Wonderful! Thanks for sharing those! 🙂

I’m glad you had a lovely birthday, with everything going on at the moment! We missed a family birthday in April, but in a couple of weeks things are going to start opening up again here.

We really tried to do it safely. We are all very conscious of the risks. Most of these places have been opened up for a coupe of weeks, so we gave it some time. And it was a Monday, so that helped. It was nice to go back out again but I won’t make a habit of it until I see how we are doing number wise.
Thanks Ali.

I’m pretty timid about going out too, shops here have been open a week or so but I’ve not ventured out yet except for groceries 🙂
