One of my June Birthday Besties and I went to The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley recently to enjoy the gardens, The Big Bug Sculptures were simply a bonus.
We walked and talked and talked and walked. Those of you blessed with dear friends know how it is.
It was hot so when we came to a bench beside the water we enjoyed a break. A sculpture from the David Rogers’ Big Bugs exhibit vied for our attention. We were unmasked by this time so we didn’t look at each other, we sat a few feet apart and talked to the sculpture in front of us.
We commented how lovely he was but honestly, we were both more interested in the conversation between the two of us than the beauty in front of us.
Suddenly one of us (I don’t remember who) noticed the wings of the dragon fly seemed to move. The other noticed that yes, he was on a floating dock!
How wonderful. These are some my favorite kinds of surprises.
He’s fab! Happy Wednesday, Dawn 🙂 🙂
