What is your favorite type of cookie (they’re called biscuits in Europe I believe)?
Chocolate Chip
If you could choose one age and remain that forever, what would it be and why?
I think 40. I was still attractive enough and I had a better sense of myself and the world by then. Not as much as in say another decade (or two) but I’ll take that handicap over the loss of attractiveness, agility, and physical strength the last two decades have diluted.
Do you have a traditional drink during the holiday season?
Spiked hot chocolate 😉
Are you able to still believe in holiday magic as you did when you were a child?
No. Once you stop believing in Santa that sort of magic is just a memory. The closest you come again is when you have children who believe. Those days may honestly be even better. Now that is not to say that there is plenty of JoY and magic to be found, you just have to look and pay attention.
What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
One of my dearest friends and I went out for a little Christmas photo shoot. We went to the town of Berryville Virginia where they have their parking meters dressed for the holidays. She is one of the few friends I could suggest spending an afternoon doing this and would think it a grand idea! Love me some Carole!
This Pez dispenser parking meter was wearing a mask (you know COVID style) but the wind kept blowing it off. We tried to put it on him and get a pic but it was just too darn cold out there to mess with!
What do you spike your hot chocolate with?

Just depends, Irish Cream, coconut rum, brandy, kalhua, or Amaretto.

Thanks Dawn for Sharing Your World! The photo is amazing, even with the mask around his head! What a great idea for decorations! Chocolate chip cookies won the ‘polls’ by a landslide – they’re world wide favorites! I’m curious (as is your other commentor there) what do you spike your hot chocolate with? Peppermint Schnapps is one ‘additive’ I’ve heard of… Hmm. I hope your celebrations were merry and bright, and that the joy did find you! Happy Holidays!

Happy holiday Melanie. It depends re: the hot cocoa. Sometimes its a Irish Cream, sometimes Brandy, Kahlua, or Coconut rum.

I wondered initially if you meant to type “spiced” hot chocolate, but I see from the comments you didn’t. Sort of Irish coffee in hot chocolate form 🙂

Yup. I don’t like coffee.
