Share Your World: January 2, 2021

Pick three words to describe this past year.
I think the Grinch said it best.

What were the best books you read this year?
I do a best book post every year. This year’s posted yesterday and is here.

Because there was lots of time for looking inward, what is one big personal lesson you learned this past year?
I miss hugs more than I ever would have thought I would. Normally I am not rally a “huggy” person, but there have been lots of times when I held back, and it hurt.

Do you think Covid has strengthened or weakened societal bonds?
It should have brought us together like other tragedies in the past have, but we are a country divided and divided again and I don’t know what, if anything can mend the fences we have built.

What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
New Year’s Day dinner with my youngest and his bride. ❤

  1. Thank you Dawn for Sharing Your World! What a lovely ‘present’ for 2021, to get to have dinner with your family that way! I also agree heartily with the whole ‘must not touch’ business. I understand it, but I feel it has diminished society as a whole in some way. AND I was told by one of the head doctors along my route once, that humans need actual physical contact with each other or it has psychological ramifications, as well as physical ones. Deep stuff. I hope you do hug at least your family members. Happy New Year to you!
