Taking Stock: January 2021

Cooking : Not yet, but these look good to maybe cook as a hors d’oeuvre.

Reading: The Man Who Played with Fire by Jan Stocklassa
P is for Peril by Sue Grafton
The Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelley
The Family by Louise Jensen

Playing: Words with Friends (Always)

Deciding: Important now as ever. Look for the Helpers.

Pondering: I learned a new word (and a lot more). Autodidacts.

Buying: A Thumb Drive for my son and his new wife to hold their wedding pictures and videos.

Considering: This emergency list (for myself and future gift ideas)

Watching: Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. This show was recommended many times before I finally clicked on it. I am so glad I did!

Hoping: To visit these gardens in 2021.

Cringing: I worry about my grandchildren.

Questioning: Do I practice kindness? Am I nice?

Wearing: Scarves and mittens!

Knowing: This was the beginning of the end.

Thinking: 9,000 lies is a of of lies in a lifetime, let alone in just four years.

Admiring: This adult way to talk to children (of all ages).

Hearing: Poet, Amanda Gorman read “The Hill We Climb”

Thanks to Taking Stock for the inspiration.
