Do you believe in soul-mates?
As romantic as that sounds, after two divorces and a broken engagement I know it takes a whole lot more than some romantic notion to make a successful relationship. It takes two committed people, working every day to remember the reasons they fell in love in the first place and treating each other with respect even when your annoyed, tired or just plain grumpy. It also takes a whole lot of luck but if you both firmly believe you are soulmates you will make it work, day after day, year after year.

What are three scents you like?
Vanilla, rose, and coffee. I do not like the taste of coffee but I love the smell!

What are some things that you might be considered too old to do, but that you enjoy?
I tend to enjoy age appropriate activities, although my sense of humor is sometimes a little immature.

What is one food you absolutely refuse to share?
I love White Chocolate LINDOR Truffles and so does my youngest. I will share them with him but that’s all! 😉

What brought gratitude, a smile or laughter to your life this week?
Dinner with my son and his wife. I love those two!

  1. Thank you so much for Sharing Your World, Dawn! What a lovely photo. You are very lucky to have loving family in your life! 🙂 I like your description of ‘soul mate’, and several other bloggers echoed that, citing their own long term relationships as proof that it’s work to make one last, not romance per se. I’m sorry you had those experiences though. 😦 But it’s better to know beforehand I think. White chocolate truffles? Oh my! 😛 Yummm! Have a splendid weekend!
