Every where I travel lately, through this valley, I see the juxtaposition of the sycamore’s with their shedding bark amidst a forest of brown and reds, especially along the river. The look is uniquely gorgeous this year, and I am just guessing, but I think it has to do with the maple leaves hanging, on waiting for the typical wind storm to blow them off their branches. It is okay with me if they hang on a little longer.
Love the grey of a winter tree. And yes, this is a beautiful scene with the bright colours contrasting with the greyness.

Thanks Jude. I’ve been mesmerized by it the last few weeks.

Right? I’m glad I captured some of it, although, of course, it is always better in person.
