Abandoned Trains Tracks with a Purpose

When I first settled here over 30 years ago the trains ran several times a day. The place I worked for thirty years was a big consumer of those lines, receiving much of the product we needed to produce the many publications we printed, bound, and shipped. Slowly the trains stopped running and trucks became the most important means for transport. Track by track they became overgrown and unsightly (except, of course, to photographers like me). Eventually creative minds stepped up and proposed a rail trail. I’m excited for our community and hope this becomes a success and a place for me to get many more images.
