Taking Stock: November 2022

Making : These cream cheese and feta cranberry roll ups.

Drinking : On Thanksgiving evening, I had my rum, with Kahlua and hazelnut coffee creamer, dessert drink. Fattening but yum!

Reading: Family Money by Chad Zunker
Well Behaved Wives by Amy Sue Nathan
Take What You Can Carry by Gian Sardar

Looking: At the Christmas lights as they slowly light up the neighborhood.

Playing: Words with Friends (Always)

Wishing: November was longer.

#Novemberlight

Pondering: How turkey became the Thanksgiving king.

Buying: No buying this month, Car repairs and taxes eating up my money. :/

Watching: Finished Arrested Development. Funny but not as funny as its reputation would have you believe.
The Sinner (on Netflix), good series. A very different kind of cop show with a very different kind of cop.
It seemed like forever since I began waiting for season 5 of The Crown to drop. Now that it finally has, I have started over at season 1. I really like this show.

Hoping: We all stay healthy, at least until the New Year so we can enjoy each other’s company.

Cringing: At Overcharges on your hospital bill.

Smelling: Turkey!

Noticing: Every where I look people are talking about pecan pie.

Wearing: Leggings, of course, but they are now flannel lined for the season…brrr…

Snacking: Cheese and crackers, with a glass of Merlot, is my favorite snack.

Hearing: I love listening to books on CD I borrow from our county library.
It took me over five weeks to finish this one. A Column of Fire by Ken Follet read by John Lee.

Thanks to Taking Stock for the inspiration.

  1. Love the light through the trees. And thank you for the Thanksgiving facts. We have 2 Americans moved into our street recently and were delighted to share a few leftovers with them recently, including a turkey and mash pie.
