One editing tool I love to use in the snow is High Key (high contrast). Whether in color or in black and white, I think it was made for snow pictures. These are from my archives as we have yet to get this kind of weather (thankfully). It is beautiful, but to be honest, I don’t care if it never snows again.
Thank you Dawn We do have this weather and today we are waiting for a BIG storm to bring us 20 cm more snow. That translates to almost 8 inches!

We ended up with a foot of snow at our house. I have used you photo technique again today for my Great White North post. Many thanks.

I like the sharpness of your black and white photos using high contrast. They remind me of etchings.

I could permanently skip snow forever. When I was a kid and snow mean a day we could go sledding instead of school, that was great. Now? Not so great.

Not so great at all. Now days a snow day means a greater chance of getting injured, either from a fall or an accident.

I have a lethally slippery driveway and have met it face down many times in icy and slushy times.

I’m with you on that, I hate the snow and hope it disappears very soon. Thank you for sharing your photos, though, very do still have a bleak beauty to them.
