Allison woke to the sound of beeping. Her head hurt; her eyes felt plastered together as she struggled to open them. Where was she?
She took a peek. Shit! Back in the hospital. What did she do this time? She tried to sit up and found herself restrained.
A nurse appeared. “Welcome back” she said, checking her vitals. Allison tried to talk but her throat was too sore.
“What happened?” she whispered.
“Shh..don’t try to talk, they pumped your stomach.”
Allison looked away, her eyes filling with tears.
She knew what was ahead of her. She’d been here before.
