The most popular landscape around here is the mountain peak that looks down on us; as only a mountain peak can. Signal Knob is just over 2,000 feet and is part of the George Washington National Forest. It’s proximity and height made it a key observation point for first Confederate and then finally Union soldiers during the civil war. These days it is a hikers dream. For those of us who live in Strasburg, it is an icon.
This mountain looks amazing in every season. Stunning landscape photos.
