Festival of Leaves 2019 ~ Week #10: A Ride Through the Forest

We are a few weeks past peak color in my region as well as in most of the rest of the country but if you can catch that the November light you can get it to highlight the browns, and even the little bit of red, yellow and orange, that is literally hanging on. #Novemberlight

I took a drive through the forest to bring you some Festival of Leaves JoY. Unfortunately, a few miles from this sign the smoke from a fire on Kennedy’s Peak clouded my other pictures. I find it incredibly sad when the forest is on fire. Don’t you?

I love autumn so I am hosting the 2019 Festival of Leaves Challenge I will post every Sunday and I invite everyone to join in any time through the week in any or all weeks. You can link to this post or to any weekly post. Be sure to tag your post Festival of Leaves so it is easy to find in the reader. Originally I planned on 10 weeks but I think I will go 12, the last being a wrap up.

  1. Lovely coppery colours. I still have a few photos to share so am glad you are continuing for another couple of weeks. And yes, it is awful to have all these forest fires and especially gutting when they are set alight deliberately. it is not only the loss of ancient trees, but also the habitat of many woodland creatures if they even manage to escape the fire and the smoke.
